Ampacimon at DISTRIBUTEH 2026 — Booth #2247

Join us at DISTRIBUTEH 2026 and discover how Ampacimon is transforming grid operations with Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) solutions. Our mission is simple: help utilities unlock hidden capacity, improve reliability, and optimize transmission assets without costly infrastructure upgrades.
At Booth #2247, you’ll learn how our innovative DLR technologies deliver real-time visibility into transmission line performance. From sensorless solutions like Ambient Adjusted Rating (AAR) and Facility Rating to sensor-based DLR systems, Ampacimon provides a complete toolkit for utilities seeking to maximize efficiency and resilience under changing conditions.

Unlock hidden capacity with Ampacimon

Static ratings don’t tell the full story. Real-world conditions—temperature, wind, and load—are constantly changing, and so is the true capacity of your grid. Ampacimon’s Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) solutions give operators the visibility they need to make smarter decisions in real time. By adapting ratings to actual conditions, utilities can safely move more power across existing lines, ease congestion, and integrate renewable generation without expensive infrastructure projects. It’s a practical way to optimize transmission and improve reliability while deferring capital investments.

Don’t miss our technical session

Technical session with Nova Scotia Power — February 3, 10:00 AM

Join us for “Achieving Total System Visibility and Operational Awareness Through the Largest DLR Deployment in North America”—a deep dive into one of the most ambitious grid modernization initiatives ever implemented.

Ampacimon and Nova Scotia Power will share the story behind one of North America’s largest dynamic rating programs. This initiative combines sensorless solutions—Ambient Adjusted Rating (AAR) and Facility Rating—with sensor-based Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) to deliver total system visibility across Nova Scotia Power’s transmission network.

The presentation will explain how the program scaled to cover more than 165 transmission lines and facilities, including the installation of 129 DLR sensors on key corridors. You’ll learn how real-time ratings and analytics were integrated directly into Nova Scotia Power’s on-premise EMS, giving operators actionable data in their existing workflows. We’ll also discuss how dynamic ratings are shared with the regional reliability coordinator to support safe, efficient operations under changing conditions.

Beyond the technical architecture, the session will dive into operational practices: how alarms and HMI were designed for control-room adoption, how fallback strategies ensure resilience, and how governance and change management made the rollout practical. Finally, we’ll connect these details to measurable outcomes—optimized transmission, reduced congestion, deferred capital projects, and improved regional coordination—all achieved without costly infrastructure expansion.
