Summary:

Sales Manager is primarily responsible for selling Ampacimon’s grid monitoring solutions – closing business, developing customer accounts, and driving territory/account based opportunities in key regions of US and Canada, primarily within the Power Transmission segment of investor-owned utilities, Public Power utilities & Cooperatives.

Responsibilities Primary:

  • Create and execute sales plan for Ampacimon’s grid monitoring solutions business in the Power transmission and distribution business segment of investor-owned utilities, Public Power & Cooperatives for the assigned regions and accounts in US and Canada.
  • Perform the execution phase and analysis phase of Entrepreneurial Selling @ Ampacimon Inc, involving: (i) Engaging the prospect (Lead generation, Sales pitch preparation & qualifying), (ii) Making the Match (determining fit, proposing), (iii) Doing the deal (Closing, Re-setting expectations), (iv) relationship management, (v) Measurement.
  • Prepare and deliver customer-specific sales pitches to effectively drive Amapcimon’s grid monitoring solutions’ value by analyzing customer power transmission’s system and individual transmission lines, during the phase of engaging a key prospect.
  • The Sales Manager, preferably based out of Great Lakes region is responsible for key regions/accounts in US and Canada
  • Attain Revenue Targets and consistently close business on a quarterly basis
  • Achieve assigned territory quota. Build a sales pipeline to be no less than 4x quota.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with customers to develop reference base and retain business.
  • Stay abreast of changes in relevant technology, competition, customer preferences and regulatory requirements in power transmission and distribution industry that may affect positioning in the marketplace.
  • Maintain sales related overhead costs and out-of-pocket expenses within established budget targets.
  • Establish proper sales reporting to VP North America and European headquarters.
  • Identify potential alliances within your region & accounts which can grow our business.
  • Collaborate marketing activities within your respective territory to generate qualified target opportunities.

Qualifications Required:

  • BS or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent successful experience in a similar controls industry role.
  • Experience of 5-10 years in Sales related to power transmission and distribution business segment in investor-owned utilities, Public Power & Cooperatives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of power transmission systems in North America including federal and state regulatory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of driving results in long sales cycles environments
  • Strategic & Entrepreneurial selling skills – account analysis and business solutions development with an emphasis on Return on Investment (ROI) to power transmission prospects and customers.
  • Conceptual selling skills – presentation, demonstration, proposals and closing.
  • Financial and business analysis acumen.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a start-up environment.
  • Travel of up to 60% is expected.

Summary:

Senior Application Engineer/ Application Engineer is (i) the primary technical resource to the sales force for grid monitoring applications to power transmission and distribution systems, (ii) the technical project manager for power transmission and distribution grid monitoring projects.

Responsibilities Primary:

  • Prepare technical content for customer-specific power transmission and other grid monitoring solutions proposals, and work through the sales cycles, interfacing with the customers during the technical evaluation process.
  • Prepare customer-specific technical sales content by analyzing customer power transmission’s system and individual transmission lines.
  • Act as the technical project manager during the entire course of grid monitoring projects, and perform project duties including, training customers, supervising commissioning process & integration of grid monitoring data into customer EMS/SCADA.
  • Maintain expert level of dynamic rating product knowledge, its application in power transmission systems.
  • Maintain expert level of knowledge in communications technology, and industry protocols for integration of data into transmission EMS/SCADA
  • Perform grid monitoring technical/ product training for sales people, and engineers at targeted customer accounts.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customer’s technical teams.
  • Perform technical sales presentations and demonstrations.
  • Travel to project sites to preform start-up, integration, and training services
  • Provide technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications, responding to customer feedback, installations, maintenance and often performing sales presentations and demonstrations.

Qualifications Required:

  • BS or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent successful experience in a similar controls industry role.
  • Experience 6–10 Years in Engineering (design, operation or maintenance) related to power transmission and distribution systems; EMS/SCADA knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven experience in analyzing power transmission plans, generation interconnection studies. Knowledge of communication technology and its applications in power system is a plus.
  • Proven experience in industry protocols to integrate data into Transmission EMS/SCADA is a plus.
  • Prior experience in technical support/application engineers roles.
  • Proven experience in customer interfacing roles
